I love working with this gorgeous family! When mom emailed me telling me they were expecting their second baby and wanted to do a newborn and family session again, I was excited to work with them once more. The first time I met them was for big sister Grace’s newborn. As part of my inspiration for Violet’s session, I took a look back at Grace’s 2017 session. When my own babies had their first photos, I made sure to have them photographed in the same pose at the same age. It is fun to compare the photos and see them up next to each other on my wall. I try to do the same for my clients when I capture each of their baby’s first images.
My full length newborn and family session is perfect if you have a toddler/preschool and want some family and sibling shots in addition to photos of the baby on their own. Although the sessions usually run 2-3 hours, I don’t put a time limit on them which works great when big brother or sister need some extra time to warm up. Two year olds have lots of energy and a mind of their own and following their lead is the way to go when you are hoping to get photos with the new baby!
We started with photos of Violet by herself. This gave Grace an opportunity to check out the studio, play a little, have a snack, and watch what I was doing with her little sister. Soon she was ready for her turn! And she did great!
And of course we got lots of beautiful images of baby Violet too! And even some sweet little grins.
I love this little bed from Pickles & Sunshine. They are located in Northeast Ohio too and have the best newborn props!
I loved so many images from their session so they got a great big gallery! With my full length sessions, I guarantee a minimum number of images but I include all of my favorites so usually the gallery is much larger than promised. I can’t wait to work with this family again!
